There is nothing quite like the sound of a congregation in full voice, with songs of praise echoing around the church. Is it any wonder that music is such an important part of our worship at St Matthews?
We are blessed in having two gifted organists and pianists at St Matthews, so all our services are enhanced – and uplifted – by music. Traditional hymns and more modern songs of praise both have their place here.
Our Parish choir performs at selected services and upon special occasions, bringing an enchanting new dimension to our services. If you are a keen singer, we would love to hear from you, as we are always looking for new members.
Each Sunday at 3pm at St Matt’s our keen Guitar and Ukulele strummers get jamming! All are welcome no matter how proficient … it’s your enthusiasm that counts! No charge - and instruction is provided.
