People have been worshipping on the site of St Matthews in Holland Park for more than 80 years. Today, we are pleased to continue that tradition of worship, service and ministry.
The original timber church was built in 1937, but was replaced with the current Memorial Church in 1957. The adjacent parish hall was subsequently added to help us meet the needs of our congregation and community.
St Matthews is situated at 889 Logan Road, Holland Park, at the corner of Swain Street. It seats around 200 people, so is also a suitable venue for weddings, funerals and baptisms.
A diverse congregation, united in Christ.
We are a diverse congregation, with different backgrounds, professions, ages, skills and stories. Each member of our congregation contributes to the life of the parish in their own unique way, drawing on the gifts that God has given them.
As part of the Diocese of Brisbane, our services follow the rich Anglican Christian tradition. If you are not familiar with Anglicanism, you can find out more about it here?
